So, how do you know if your Dyson has a clutch or not?

Look underneath your Dyson vacuum cleaner. If the belt goes directly from the motor spindle to the brush bar: You have a non-clutch model. If the belt goes from the motor spindle to a clutch assembly and there is another belt from this to the brush bar: You have a clutch model.

OR

Look for a control knob on the front right hand side of your Dyson vacuum. If your machine has a knob it is a clutched model. If your machine does not have a knob it is a non-clutched model.
