This is the tensioner jockey pulley / wheel that sits on the motor of some Fisher & Paykel and Haier dryer models. It smoothly rolls the belt.

Note: When a pulley fails, the motor shaft needs to be inspected for damage. There must be no scars on it from friction damage. If it is not perfect and shiny as new, then it must be sanded down with 600 grit paper till it "looks like a mirror". A spittle of grease will help with lubrication and a new pulley can then be fitted. If the scars to the shaft cannot be polished out, it is possible a new pulley will fail with time. If that occurs, then the motor must be replaced as well. If the shaft is damaged, you require a new motor. Damage to a new pulley caused by worn shafts is not covered by Fisher & Paykel / Haier.
