This is a genuine Daikin infrared remote control handset for Daikin wall mounted split system air conditioners in the FTXS and FTKS series. It carries the Daikin handset designation ARC452A4. It is the full function handset with the sliding cover, weekly timer, powerful and econo modes, intelligent eye sensor control, quiet operation and swing control.

How To Identify Your Handset

The handset model is printed on the back of the remote, or under the sliding cover. If your old handset is marked ARC452A1, ARC452A2, ARC452A3 or ARC452A4, this handset is the correct replacement. Daikin supersedes within the ARC452A family, so a later suffix replaces an earlier one.

When To Replace

Replace the handset when buttons no longer respond or need to be pressed hard, when the display is blank, faded or showing missing segments with fresh batteries fitted, when the unit does not respond to the remote although it works from the indoor unit button, when the battery contacts are corroded, or when the case or sliding cover is cracked or broken.

Setting Up

Fit two fresh AAA alkaline batteries observing the polarity marked in the compartment. Set the clock and the day, then point the handset at the indoor unit within about seven metres and press ON/OFF. If the unit does not respond, check that nothing is blocking the receiver window and that the batteries are the correct way round.

This handset covers a wide range of the FTXS and FTKS series. Check your indoor unit model number, which is on the label behind the front cover, against the model list above before ordering.
