Chef Westinghouse Electrolux Oven Bush Fixing D41116

This is a replacement fixing bush for Chef, Westinghouse, Electrolux and Simpson ovens, carrying the reference D41116. It is a small moulded bush that locates a fixing point inside the oven and takes the wear that would otherwise go into the panel it is fitted to. It is inexpensive and it is a common cause of a rattle, a loose panel or a door that no longer sits square.

When To Replace

Replace the bush when it has cracked, split or has gone brittle and crumbled, when the panel or component it locates has become loose and rattles, or when it has worn oval so the fixing no longer sits square. Because it is a low cost part it is worth replacing all of them at once whenever the oven is stripped for another repair.

Fitting

Isolate the oven at the circuit breaker before starting. Remove whichever panel gives access to the fixing point, ease the old bush out of its hole, clean the seating and press the new bush in until it is fully home and seated flat. Refit the panel and check that the component it locates no longer moves. If the bush is behind the oven door hinge, support the door before releasing it.
