Technika Whirlpool Clothes Dryer Complete Door Assembly

This is a complete replacement door assembly for Technika, Whirlpool, Haier and Fisher & Paykel vented clothes dryers. It is supplied as a whole door with the inner frame, glass or panel, hinge and catch already assembled, so there is no need to strip parts off the old door. It is the usual fix when a door has been cracked, dropped or forced.

When To Replace

Replace the door when it is cracked or broken, when the hinge has snapped or worn so the door sags and no longer lines up with the catch, when the door will not stay shut or springs open mid cycle, when the dryer will not start because the door is not closing far enough to operate the door switch, or when the lint seal face is damaged and lint is escaping around the door.

Fitting

Isolate the dryer at the power point before starting. Open the door fully and remove the screws holding the hinge to the cabinet, supporting the weight of the door as the last screw comes out. Offer the new door up, start all the hinge screws before tightening any of them, then tighten evenly so the door hangs square. Close the door and check it latches with light pressure and that the machine starts, then run a short cycle.

Technika, Whirlpool, Haier and Fisher & Paykel dryers in this family share a platform, which is why one door covers models sold under four brand names. The numbers in brackets are the product codes from the data plate. Check the hinge side and the door diameter against your machine before ordering.
