It replaces 3 pole AC equipment couplers and provides a very rugged solution in combination with a locking device to guarantee a safe power connection. The unique locking strain relief construction helps prevent accidental exposure to electrical wires. The HPT-3-M also features an IP65 rating (in mated condition) with no washers, gaskets, or other special treatment required. It is a connector with breaking capacity (CBC), i.e. it can be connected or disconnected under load or live.
