Miele Dishwasher Aqua Stop Inlet Hose - Waterproof System, 2 Metre, 220-240V
This is the Miele Waterproof System inlet hose - the safety hose with the solenoid valve box moulded onto the tap end and the wiring loom running inside the outer sleeve. It is a double-walled hose: the outer sleeve catches any water that escapes the inner hose and routes it into the base tray, where a float switch shuts the water off and runs the drain pump. It carries the inlet filter and the 2.5 L/min flow restrictor as well. Nominal length is 2 metres overall - about 1760mm of flexible hose plus 320mm of valve body and fittings.

| 10499864 - this listing | The 2 metre Waterproof System hose. Around 1760mm of hose plus a 320mm valve body. Some sellers describe the same part as 1.8m. |
| 10499873 | The 4.5 metre Waterproof System hose. Order this one if the run from tap to machine is longer than about 1.8 metres. |
| Plain inlet hoses (5318960, 4623454, 6909130, 6909150) | Ordinary hoses with no electrics. These are extension and laundry hoses - they will not operate a Waterproof System dishwasher. |
| 9480312 | A different, higher-flow (7.5 L/min) commercial Waterproof System unit. Not this part. |
| Aftermarket equivalents | Non-genuine Aqua Stop hoses are available for around a third of the price, but fitting one can affect Miele water-damage cover. Ask us if you would like the aftermarket option instead. |
Brands: Miele. The model number is on the rating plate inside the door, on the tank rim or on the door edge. The list below is the fitment range compiled from Miele dishwasher parts diagrams; because Miele specifies this part by valve unit rather than by model, please also check the number on your existing valve box before ordering. If your model is not listed, send us your full model number and we will check it for you.
| Waterproof / water protection fault showing | Water has reached the base tray and the float switch has tripped. Dry the tray and find the leak before condemning the hose. |
| Drain pump runs constantly and will not stop | Classic Aqua Stop trip - the float is up. It will keep running with the door open until the tray is dry and the float resets. |
| Machine will not take any water | The solenoids in the valve box have latched shut or failed. Check the tap and filter first, then suspect the valve unit. |
| Water dripping from the valve box at the tap end | The valve body is leaking. Replace the complete hose - the valve is not serviceable separately. |
| Split, kinked, abraded or bulging hose sleeve | Replace immediately. Miele position is replace, never repair. |
| Fills very slowly | Blocked flow restrictor or corroded inlet filter inside the valve unit. |
| Trickles water into the machine when idle | A solenoid seat is not sealing. The second valve is masking the fault - still replace. |
| Type | Waterproof System / Aqua Stop safety inlet hose |
| Length | 2 metres nominal - approx 1760mm hose plus 320mm valve body |
| Voltage | 220-240V, 50/60Hz solenoid |
| Flow restrictor | 2.5 litres per minute |
| Tap connection | G 3/4 inch female union - fits a standard Australian 3/4 inch BSP tap, no adaptor needed |
| Maximum pressure | 10 bar (machine spec 50-1000 kPa) |
| Water temperature | Cold or hot fill up to 60 degrees C - check your model manual |
| Appliance | Miele G-series dishwashers only |
| Isolate first | Turn the tap off and unplug the dishwasher at the wall. This hose carries mains voltage wiring - this step is not optional. |
| Dry the base tray | If the Aqua Stop has tripped, the float must be down and the tray dry or the fault will return straight away. |
| Pull the machine out | The hose enters at the rear and the cable terminates on the machine side, so you need rear access. On integrated models remove the plinth and release the cabinet fixings. |
| Tap end | Unscrew the valve box from the tap. If it is seized, grip the metal nut, never the plastic body. |
| Machine end | Release the electrical connector as well as the hose union, and note the routing and cable clips before you pull the old one out. |
| Refit | Machine end first, seat the electrical connector fully, then route the hose with no kinks and no tight bends - the internal wiring fails at sharp bends. |
| Tap seal | Check the rubber sealing washer is in the union nut. Do not add thread tape or a second washer. Hand tight, then about a quarter turn - no spanner on the plastic. |
| Never modify | Do not cut, shorten, extend or clamp the hose. Coil any excess loosely behind the machine. |
| Test | Turn the tap on and check both ends for weeps before restoring power, then run a short programme and watch a full fill and drain. |
| Warranty note | If the machine is still covered by Miele water-damage cover, have the hose fitted by Miele Service - DIY replacement can affect that cover. |
