Oven Fan Forced Element – Nobel and Amica Ovens

Replacement fan forced (fan bake) oven element. This is the ring element that sits behind the rear oven liner, around the fan, and does the heating on any fan-assisted setting. When it fails the oven fan still turns but the oven no longer heats, or heats only on grill.

When to Replace the Fan Forced Element

• The fan runs but the oven will not come up to temperature
• The oven works on grill or bottom element only
• A visible break, blister or burn mark in the element ring
• The element trips the circuit breaker or RCD when the oven is switched on
• Food cooking unevenly or taking far longer than it used to

Fitting

Isolate the oven at the wall or at the switchboard. Remove the rear liner inside the oven cavity to expose the fan and element ring. Note where the two terminals sit before you disconnect them. Fit the new element the same way round, refit the liner, and check the oven reaches temperature before loading it. Electrical work of this kind must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
