Replacement fan drive V-belt, 8 mm × 400 mm, for Miele Professional tumble dryers. In Miele’s own spare parts list this belt sits in section 040 Drive Fan — it drives the blower that moves air through the drum, not the drum itself.

If your drum will not turn, this is not the belt you need: that is the long edged poly-V drum belt (5PJ 1880 / 5PJ 1900 / 5PJ 1915). This 8×400 V-belt drives the fan. A number of sellers list it as a “drum drive belt”, an “idler pulley belt” or even a washing-machine belt — that is incorrect, and it is the most common cause of a wrong order. Check your machine’s M-Nr. against the parts list if you are unsure.

Fitting Notes

  1. Isolate the machine at the wall before removing any panel.
