Samsung Washer Dryer Combo Door Boot Seal Gasket

Replacement door boot seal (door gasket, door bellows) for Samsung front loading washer dryer combos. This is the flexible rubber sleeve between the outer door frame and the drum. It is what fails when the machine starts leaking onto the floor mid-cycle, or when the rubber tears and begins catching and marking clothes.

When to Replace the Door Seal

• Water running out of the door onto the floor during the wash or spin
• A split, tear or hole in the rubber, most often along the bottom where water and grit collect
• Black mould in the folds that will not clean off and keeps returning
• Clothes snagging, tearing or coming out marked
• The rubber has gone hard or lost its shape and no longer seals against the door glass
• A smell from the machine that comes straight back after cleaning

Fitting

Turn the machine off at the wall and turn off the water. The seal is held by two clamps: an outer spring band around the door frame and an inner clamp on the drum lip. Release the outer band first, fold the seal back into the drum, then release the inner clamp and lift the old seal out. Fit the new seal onto the drum lip first, making sure any drain hole or moulded mark sits at the bottom, then seat the outer lip and refit both clamps. Run a short rinse and check for leaks before putting a full load in.
