Toro TimeMaster 30″ / 76cm – Full 3-Belt Set Kit
Complete replacement three-belt kit for the Toro TimeMaster 30 inch (76cm) twin-blade walk-behind mower. It contains every belt on the machine: the deck drive V-belt, the traction (self-propel) V-belt, and the toothed deck timing belt that keeps the two blades in phase. Because all three run off the same pulley stack behind the same covers, doing them together is one teardown instead of three.
The commercial TurfMaster 30″ models (22200, 22205TE, 22207, 22210, 22215, 22225, 22235) share the deck belt and the timing belt, but use a different traction belt – Toro 116-7116. Fitting this kit to a TurfMaster leaves you with the wrong self-propel belt. Any earlier reference to TurfMaster on this listing was incorrect and has been removed.
The eTimeMaster 60V battery models (21491, 21491T, 21493, 21876, 21876T) share only the traction belt – the battery deck drives differently, so this kit is not for them either.

| 1 x Deck drive V-belt | Toro 121-5765 – 1/2″ x 30.1″. Runs from the engine crankshaft pulley to the deck input pulley. This is the belt your blade-engage (PTO) lever tensions. |
| 1 x Traction V-belt | Toro 120-9470 – 3/8″ x 27.5″. Engine crankshaft pulley to transmission pulley. This is what drives Personal Pace self-propel. |
| 1 x Deck timing belt | Toro 120-3335 – 44″ x 3/4″, toothed / synchronous. Sits inside the deck and links the two blade spindles so the twin blades stay in phase and cannot collide. |

| Blades will not engage, or stop under load | Deck drive belt (121-5765). The highest-wear belt of the three, because the PTO lever slips it against a tensioned idler every single time you engage the blades. |
| Blades bog down or slow in thick grass | Deck drive belt slipping rather than gripping. |
| Loud squeal when you engage the blades | Classic glazed or worn deck drive belt. |
| Self-drive slipping or weak | Traction belt (120-9470), usually stretched. Often misdiagnosed as a Personal Pace cable or transmission fault – check the belt first, it is far cheaper. |
| Mower will not pull itself up a slope | Traction belt slipping under load. |
| One blade stops or lags while the other turns | Timing belt (120-3335) has stripped teeth. Because it is toothed it does not slip and squeal – it fails abruptly. |
| Clacking or knocking from inside the deck | Blades out of phase. Stop using the mower and check the timing belt. |
| Shiny, glazed, cracked or frayed belt | Visible on inspection once the belt cover is off. Replace before it snaps mid-job. |
| Kit contents | 3 belts – deck drive, traction, deck timing |

| Note on dimensions | Toro does not publish belt dimensions. The measurements above come from Stens and other aftermarket catalogues and are provided as a guide. |
| You do not need to remove the whole deck | The two V-belts come off with the belt cover and the gear housing stop removed. Allow around 20 minutes for both. |
| Tip the mower the right way up | Toro says to tip the machine onto its side with the dipstick down and the air filter up, until the upper handle rests on the ground. Tipping it the other way floods the air filter with oil. |
| The timing belt needs the blades off | It sits on the spindles inside the deck behind belt guide 120-5245-03. Practically you will pull the blades and that guide to get it on. |
| Put the belt guides back | Each belt has a guide or keeper alongside it – 120-5245-03 at the spindles, 139-1734 at the engine end. Leave one off and the new belt will walk straight off the pulley. |
| Set the blade-drive belt tension | Toro specifies checking every 50 hours: slide a 0.25mm (0.010 inch) feeler gauge or a note card behind the belt tension spring and adjust until it slides freely. Do not overtighten – Toro warns this damages the belt. |
| Disconnect the spark plug lead | Before working anywhere near the blades or deck. |
| Why do all three at once | Once the covers are off, the extra labour for the second and third belt is close to zero. The deck belt wears fastest and the timing belt lasts longest, so this is a labour argument rather than a wear one – but it is a good one. |
